New Beginnings is a story about the renewal of life and love. Everything starts out from a seed of some kind. It grows and blossoms into something beautiful, breathtaking, and even miraculous. The seed of love grows between a man and a women. From that seed a child is born and the renewal of life begins. The seeds of mother earth soon start to grow with a dazzling array of colors after a long hard winter. It doesn't matter how old you are or, in mother earth's case, how lifeless the winter leaves her. Each and every year, in the dawn of the morning light, we have a new beginning of life.

I drew everything free hand, except for the stars. I did use stickers because I didn't think I could get them to show up very well. I tried to get the smallest star stickers but to me the stars still look to big. On the base I wrote "place baby's booties here" ... this would be in sticker form so it could be removed. I thought it would be so cool for the parents to actually place their baby's booties on the base. It would then be so personalized for that family.
