History shows there have been women warriors from the earliest times in the native Indian culture.

Few of the most notable of the women warriors was Blackfeet "Running Eagle" or Pi'tamaka and "Hate Woman" , as well as very famous Apache woman warrior named Lozen. All those women was brave and fearful warriors., they hunted buffalo as well as going to battle against other tribe.

Trick Falls in Glacier National Park was originally named Pitamakan ( Running Eagle) after the great woman warrior. It was re-named by whites, sadly the name of Pitamakan/Running Eagle
